W&L to Match 100% of Electricity Use with Solar Energy

A new deal will establish an offsite solar farm from which W&L will purchase energy equivalent to 100% of campus electricity use, allowing the university to lower greenhouse gas emissions, save money and close in on its goal of carbon neutrality. |

The 235th undergraduate commencement is scheduled for Thursday, May 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. on the Front Lawn. Commencement ceremonies will be broadcast live on the web for those unable to attend. Stay up to date on all commencement-related activities

Washington and Lee Athletics |
|
The Old Dominion Athletic Conference recently announced that Washington and Lee University had seized the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup for the 20th consecutive year. The Generals claimed all three of the cups, taking the overall award and the men's and women's cups. W&L won the women's cup for the 19th straight year and took the men's cup for the seventh straight year, marking seven consecutive years the Blue and White has received all three of the cups. |
Here are a few highlights from some of the Generals' spring sports teams: |
- Men's Golf – The Generals finished 8th in the NCAA Championship, the fifth time in program history they placed in the Top 10 at the Division III Championship.
- Women's Golf - The Blue and White placed 13th in the NCAA National Championship, its fourth Top 15 finish in program history.
- Men's Lacrosse – The Generals (12-7) advanced to the NCAA tournament, but saw their season come to an end in the second round.
- Women's Lacrosse – ODAC champion and fifth-ranked W&L (19-3) advanced through the first three NCAA tournament rounds, but lost in the quarterfinals.
- Women's Tennis – After winning the ODAC tournament, the 21st-ranked Blue and White (16-7) saw its season come to an end in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
- Men's Tennis – After winning the ODAC crown, the Generals (15-9) fell in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
