What an incredible kickoff to our Leading Lives of Consequence campaign! If you missed the announcement or have not yet read President Dudley's recap, we have linked his post-event note below. This issue focuses on the campaign launch, but I want to highlight some other important updates for you. |
Save-the-dates have been sent for Alumni Weekend, the Institute for Honor and Tom Wolfe Weekend, and soon you will see announcements for the Entrepreneurship Summit, the inaugural Energy Forum and more. Spring is packed with opportunities — no excuses not to come back to Lexington! |
Our chapters are also providing more meaningful ways to connect with alumni, parents and friends near you. I am grateful for the new volunteers stepping up to lead chapters and encourage anyone whose chapter needs additional support to reach out. We are committed to helping all 77 chapters thrive (welcome back, Knoxville!). |
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to extend a huge thank you for supporting Washington and Lee in so many ways. Working for an institution leading in areas of consequence is a privilege, and I am grateful each day for the volunteers who make our work possible. Thank you! |

In Case You Missed It: A Message from President Will Dudley |
I write with exciting news following a beautiful fall weekend here in Lexington, during which the university celebrated the public launch of our $650 million comprehensive capital campaign, Leading Lives of Consequence: The Campaign for Washington and Lee. The campaign, which is the most ambitious fundraising effort in W&L's 275-year history, has already raised more than $475 million from over 21,500 individual donors toward its $650 million goal. |
The Leading Lives of Consequence campaign represents a powerful investment in Washington and Lee, and in our students and teachers, who contribute to and benefit from our educational excellence. The campaign is funding the critical priorities in W&L's Strategic Plan that will advance our mission. |
