As we embrace the fall season, I am excited to reflect on the vibrant community that makes Washington and Lee University truly special. Our Lex in Tex game day tailgate on Sept. 21 was a tremendous success, with over 300 alumni, parents and friends coming together to cheer on the Generals against the Trinity Tigers. This event highlighted the deep passion and commitment of our W&L family in supporting our students.
We are eagerly anticipating the inaugural Policy Forum Oct. 10-11 in Washington, D.C. Keynoted by Col. Tom Greenwood '77 of the Institute for Defense Analyses, this forum will feature an impressive lineup of speakers addressing key national security and policy issues. We hope you'll join us for this engaging event.
On campus, we will honor five Hall of Fame inductees Oct. 11-12, celebrating their athletic achievements and contributions to W&L. Rounding out our fall programming, our Law and Literature Weekend Seminar in early November will focus on Dolen Perkins-Valdez's impactful novel "Take My Hand," providing another opportunity for meaningful discussion and engagement.
Thank you for being part of our community. I look forward to seeing many of you at these exciting events!
