W&L's Staniar Gallery presents “In a Classroom,” a solo exhibition by multimedia artist Joey Fauerso. The exhibit will be on view from Jan. 8 through Feb. 6, 2026. Fauerso will also give an artist’s talk on Jan. 13 in Wilson Concert Hall, followed by a reception. The exhibition and reception events are free and open to the public. More Info

Lloyd Tanlu, associate professor of accounting at Washington and Lee University, will present a public lecture to mark his appointment to the Ehrick Kilner Haight Sr. Term Professorship. Nobel Symposium: Mengying Liu

Mengying Liu, assistant professor of engineering at Washington and Lee University, will present on the 2025 Nobel Prize in chemistry awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. MLK Children's Birthday Party Celebration

Children of the Lexington and Rockbridge County community are invited to attend a birthday celebration in honor of Dr. King. There will be games, face painting, and arts and crafts. CARE will also be hosting Reading in Color, 30 minute periods of reading for younger children. Cake, snacks and punch will be provided. |
