Student Documentary Premiere Screening
5:30-7:30 p.m. Stackhouse Theater
The Journalism and Mass Communications Department, in collaboration with the Department of Theater, Dance, and Film Studies, presents the student documentary premiere screening created by students in the Spring Term Cross/Intercultural Documentary Filmmaking class. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience the creative efforts of emerging nonfiction student filmmakers who have written, produced, filmed and edited their short documentaries entirely in-house. This event is free and open to the public, with refreshments served before the event.

Aerial Dance Spring Term Performance
May 22 at 9 pm/May 23 at noon Outside wall of Wilson Concert Hall/Lenfest Center
The Department of Theater, Dance and Film Studies at W&L presents “Vertical Dance,” an aerial dance performance. The performance will be held outside on the wall of Wilson Hall at the Lenfest Center for the Arts and is free and open to the public. Attendees are invited to bring blankets, chairs or a picnic for lawn seating across from the performance wall.

W&L will hold its annual Spring Spotlight (formerly Spring Term Festival) on Friday, May 23 at several locations within Leyburn Library. The event, traditionally held on the final day of Spring Term, is free and open to the W&L community.

Join the University Singers for one final concert performance of the year featuring favorite works selected by the seniors. This annual tradition is designed for parents and family of the graduating students, but is also open to the public.

From Screen to Square: “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman”
5:30 p.m. Stackhouse Theater
The DeLaney Center will continue its Screen to Square film series with a showing of “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman.” The film tells the story of a black woman in the South who was born into slavery in the 1850s and lives to become a part of the civil rights movement in the 1960s. The screening is free and open to the public, and include drinks, pizza and dessert.
