| As we approach the start of the semester, faculty and students are filling the campus with positive energy and optimism—even behind their masks. |
| Let's extend a warm welcome to our new faculty colleagues. On the tenure track are Assistant Professors Daniel Afosah (Chemistry), James Broda (Mathematics), Akiko Konishi (Music), Mengying Liu (Engineering), and Chong (Sophia) Wang (Mathematics). In Athletics, we are joined by Assistant Professor and Assistant Coach Taylor Mendoza (Lacrosse). Our new full-time Visiting Assistant Professors include Sandra Correa-Garhwal (Biology), Hulya Dogan (Sociology and Anthropology), Saori Nozaki (Japanese), Franklin Sammons (History), Brenna Womer (English), and Amanda Rodriguez-Newhall who transitioned from a DeLaney Postdoctoral Fellowship to a Visiting Assistant Professorship (Cognitive and Behavioral Science). Finally, Omar Quinonez joins us as an Ethics Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mudd Center, while Fernando Zapata is a new DeLaney Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy. |
| The start of every new academic year is full of the excitement of meeting new co-workers and leading academic adventures with new crops of students. This year many of us are also reuniting with colleagues we haven't seen in many months due to the pandemic. Let's all enjoy this moment of high hopes for a wonderful year. |
