A Note From Campus
While law and undergraduate classes will soon be underway, the academic year officially starts Sept. 7 with Fall Convocation. The unofficial beginning is when athletes arrive for pre-season training; it is wonderful to see and hear their practices around campus once again! I am excited for what will be a very busy fall. The university is hosting the Entrepreneurship Summit Sept. 29-30 on campus; the popular Real Estate Forum is back for the first time since the pandemic and will take place in Washington D.C., Oct. 12-13; Young Alumni Weekend will celebrate all classes from 2013 to 2023 on campus Nov. 3-4; and affinity gatherings are starting in our chapters. It is a great time to be involved with W&L and I hope to see you here in Lexington or on my travels.
In addition, the Alumni Association Board of Directors (Alumni Board) is once again seeking nominations from all alumni for consideration to be one of three candidates on an alumni ballot for election to the Washington and Lee University Board of Trustees. For the current election cycle, nominations must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 6, 2023. You should have recently received an email outlining the process. We appreciate your interest and participation in this important process for the university.
