A Note From Campus
Wishing you and your loved ones a happy and healthy holiday season! It has been a busy end to the term, which you can read about in President Dudley's update below. Bill Benson ’92 worked on NASA’s Space Launch System which will enable astronauts to begin their journey into deep space.
Kristina Lozinskaya ’22 Among 2024 Class of Schwarzman Scholars
Lozinskaya, a 2022 graduate, will receive a master’s degree in global affairs from Tsinghua University in China.

Five-Star Festival 2023
On March 2-4, 2023, we look forward to welcoming back all classes 1972 and earlier, featuring the 55th, 60th and 65th reunion classes of 1968, 1963 and 1958. Celebrations begin on Thursday and lead directly into the Office of Lifelong Learning’s Institute for Honor programming. Register or learn more on the W&L website.

W&L Traveller: Flavors of Dordogne
Join the W&L Traveller program May 26 - June 3, 2023, on an excursion to the Dordogne region of France. With its astonishing array of medieval towns and ancient castles, prehistoric caves, hanging gardens, spectacular views, and luxuriant countryside, the Dordogne has long been a favorite getaway for Europeans.

Phillips Among 2023 Class of Rhodes Scholars
Tahrington (Tahri) Phillips ’23, a cognitive and behavioral science and English double major, is Washington and Lee University’s 18th Rhodes Scholar.
Gilman Scholars
Two W&L students, Hadley Foulk ’25 and Jack Evans ’25, have been awarded Gilman Scholarships to study abroad during Winter Term 2023.

W&L Hosts MAZE Program June 2023
Offered every other summer, the MAZE program is available to rising 11th or 12th grade students who are children or grandchildren of W&L alumni. Sessions are led by experienced college admissions professionals who encourage students to think carefully about the college selection process in a structured, yet relaxed, learning environment.
