Commencement 2023

Summer is a busy time on campus. My colleagues in facilities are wrapping up exciting projects while starting on new ones. You can read more about each project below. I am personally excited for the re-opening of the Marketplace and Café 77 (affectionately known as D-Hall and the Coop). Lexington itself is also eventful. Whether it's enjoying a show at Lime Kiln Theater, exploring the beauty of the Blue Ridge, tasting the many delights downtown, or simply sitting on the Colonnade, there is much to enjoy if you make it to town! |
The Alumni and Career Services team is also hard at work on events and programs for the coming year. Registration for Young Alumni Weekend will open July 12. For the Classes of 2013 and 2018, we are planning quite the party to celebrate your 10th and fifth reunions! This fall will also see the resurgence of popular affinity programming. The Entrepreneurship Summit will take place on campus Sept. 29-30 and the Real Estate Forum returns to Washington, D.C. Oct. 12-13. Whether it is here on campus, or on the road, we hope to see you soon! |
I would be remiss if I didn't mention the recent passing of alumnus and longtime W&L administrator, Farris Hotchkiss '58. Farris was a beloved member of the W&L community and a friend to many of us. I encourage you to read more about his life and legacy below. |
