20 Years Later

Twenty years ago this Sept. 11, our nation was subjected to one of the most unthinkable events in its 243-year history. Two Washington and Lee University alumni were among the 2,997 lives lost that day, while countless other lives were forever changed. On this milestone anniversary, we take a look back at the impact of the terrorist attacks, both in the days following and two decades later.

W&L’s New Trustee Nomination Process
Submit a Board of Trustees Nomination
The Alumni Association, acting through the Alumni Board of Directors and the Alumni Engagement Office, is soliciting nominees from all alumni for consideration to be one of three candidates on an alumni ballot for election to the Washington and Lee University Board of Trustees. The nomination period ends Oct. 15, 2021.
