The board unanimously elected Bacdayan as the university’s 32nd rector during its meeting in Lexington on Oct. 21, 2023.

Tom McClain, Assistant Professor of Physics, will present on this year's Nobel Prize in Physics. This prize was awarded to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausz, and Anne L'Huillier “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter.”
