Recent ITS Security Incident
During the current academic year, ITS responded to a major security incident involving a malware-compromised university laptop. We believe it's important to share with the W&L community some of the details associated with the event. A summary can be found in the following Box link.
Students, faculty and staff are frequent targets of cybercriminals seeking to disrupt and seize W&L data and assets. Routine daily activities, like clicking on search engine results, can escalate into a cascading series of damaging events. Increased awareness of the cyber threats we face empowers us all to better safeguard against the effects of cybercrime.
If you have any questions about this notice, please contact the ITS Helpdesk at X4357 or help@wlu.edu.
