Undergraduate Commencement – May 30, 2024
Graduation is on the horizon for the Class of 2024! The university's 237th undergraduate Commencement is scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. on the Front Lawn of the main campus. The Baccalaureate Service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., also on the Front Lawn. Commencement ceremonies will be broadcast live on the web for those unable to attend.

‘Salvador Dalí: Les Chants de Maldoror’ features original etchings from the surrealist and will run through Feb. 8.
Former Washington Post Editor to Deliver Lecture on Politics and Journalism
Martin Baron’s talk will be held on Feb. 13 and is open to the public. The event will also be streamed online at go.wlu.edu/livestream.
 
Housing Selection Applications Open Feb. 1
Fall 2024 housing applications open for upper-division students Feb. 1 and are available online in eRezLife. All students planning to live in on-campus housing (including Greek and Theme Housing) must complete the application by April 8 to participate in the housing lottery and selection process. A reminder that all students in the class of 2026 and 2027 must select housing for the 2024-25 academic year through the housing lottery and selection process. Students in the Class of 2025 have the option to participate, with priority given to the classes of 2026 and 2027.

Washington and Lee Athletics
The university's winter sports are back in full swing after the holiday break, with the men's basketball team winning the annual W&L Holiday Tournament and the 16th-ranked women's basketball team's 11-game winning streak spanning from November-January. Men's and women's swimming returned from their Florida training trip and upset Gettysburg in the first meet of 2024. Women's and men's indoor track and field restarted on Jan. 14 and 20, respectively. The wrestling team has headlined the month of January with a program-best third-place finish at the Budd Whitehill Duals and upset three nationally ranked opponents along the way.

The 28th Mock Convention is only weeks away! The Mock Con delegate parade and two sessions take place Friday, Feb. 9, followed by two more sessions Saturday, Feb. 10, culminating in the political nomination.
