Washington and Lee Athletics
Several W&L winter sports recently completed their postseasons:
  • Women's Basketball - Generals (20-7) advanced to first round of NCAA tournament and set a program record for single-season win percentage (.741). The Women's Basketball Coaches Association named Megan Horn '22 an Honorable Mention All-American.
  • Wrestling - The Blue and White finished 14th overall out of 30 teams at the NCAA Division III Championship. Riley Parker '23 and Ryan Luth '23 earned All-America citations.
  • Women's Swimming - Brynn Martinson '24, Turner Bobbitt '22, Claudia Barnett '22 and Sophia Rollo '24 earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in the 400m free relay at the NCAA Division III championship meet.
  • Women's Indoor Track and Field - Katelyn Gamble '24 named All-American in 60m hurdles at NCAA Indoor Championship.
  • Men's Indoor Track and Field - Joe O'Connor '22 named All-American in the pole vault at NCAA Indoor Championship.

Lifelong Learning
Through Lifelong Learning's webinar series, you have an opportunity to attend talks and participate in discussions with W&L faculty and others on front-page issues of our day. On March 9, Rich Bidlack, the Martin and Brooke Stein Professor of History, and Krzysztof Jasiewicz, the Ames Professor of Sociology, shared their expertise in Russian and Eastern European history and discussed Ukraine, Russia, the European Union and Vladimir Putin.
